👣 Pliés on toes on reformer 👣

The aim is to keep the heels lifted throughout the movement while maintaining pressure through the balls of the feet (specifically base of the big toe).
This helps maintain a stable foot, support the arch, and encourage activation of the calves and intrinsic foot muscles while keeping the ankle, knee and hip in better alignment.
When the heels drop and ankles roll out, muscles engagement and stability decreases, the range is reduced, and the movement becomes less effective at targeting calves, feet and ankle stabilisers.

It's not just about moving the carriage, it's about maintenance the position throughout the exercise. ✨️
